Alejandro Bustamante, MD


Dr Alex Bustamante is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. Although a New York City native, he spent his formative years in South America. He went to La Salle high school In Venezuela. After completing medical school in Latin America, he worked as a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver doing clinical medical research. He later finished his internship at the University of Colorado General Surgery Residency Program. Dr. Bustamante completed his Family Medicine Residency at Lynchburg Family Medicine in Lynchburg, Virginia.


Dr. Bustamante’s area of interest include treatment of knee osteoarthritis and intra-articular joint injections with the use of fluoroscopy for accurate placement of medications. He is also passionate about preventive medicine.


In his days off, he enjoys weight lifting, skiing and trail running.

Meighan Purk, NP

Meighen was born and raised in beautiful Colorado.  She attended Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, Colorado where she attained her nursing degree.  She completed her Family Nurse Practitioner degree at Regis University in 2015.  She brings 16 years of diverse nursing experience to her practice as a Nurse Practitioner and has a particular passion for women's health.  Meighen is a devoted mother to two children and enjoys a variety of outdoor activities.

Nathan Civili, FNP

Nathan was born in St. Louis, Missouri and is a graduate of Truman State University. After graduation, he moved to Colorado to obtain his Nursing degree at Denver College of Nursing and worked  at the University of Colorado Hospital. Here, he gained experience in geriatric care, neurology and internal medicine.  He has worked with pediatric patients and adult critical care/ emergency medicine.  He obtained her Master's Degree in Nursing from Regis University in Denver where he specialized as a Family Nurse Practitioner.   He has also worked in women's health, primary care, and holistic medicine.  Nathan loves taking care of people of all ages from infants to geriatrics. He believes healthcare should be a team approach with the goal being wellness and disease prevention. Nathan has a wonderful wife, a very energetic child and a fantastic puppy.  He loves woodworking and taking advantage of all the wonderful outdoor activities that Colorado has to offer. As a St. Louis native he loves toasted ravioli, the St.Louis Cardinals and Blues. He looks forward to meeting you and working with you to achieve your health goals!

David Leistikow, M.D.

Dr. Leistikow is a native of the Iowa farmlands who continues to enjoy a country and farming lifestyle here in beautiful Colorado. He is a graduate of the University of Iowa Medical School. He is Board Certified in Family Medicine, Holistic Medicine as well as Brief Psychotherapy under Hypnosis. He started the Brief Psychotherapy Institute of the Rockies with Dr. Scott and Debbie Holliday www.bpiotr.com. As he enjoys teaching, he holds faculty instructor positions with the University of Colorado and the Deepak Chopra Meditation Centers. As a pilot, he enjoys flying planes. He uses his body and mind medicine to sustain a happy and healthy lifestyle as a tri athlete in his spare time. He is married to Dr. Kandel and they have 3 grown children.

Jon Blauw, PH.D

Jon Blauw, Ph. D. is a clinical psychologist who specializes in the assessment and treatment of depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, alcohol abuse, eating disorders and management of work and other sources of life stress. Through the process of careful listening, problem and goal formulation and working together to overcome roadblocks, frustrating problems can be transformed into a do-able plan and then overcome.

Dr. Blauw also works with children and adolescents through the family context such as family therapy and/or parent training and support. In addition, Dr. Blauw works with couples in need of assistance with communication, problem resolution and other difficult challenges. He has worked with people from many cultural backgrounds and is LGBT friendly.
